Transurban is a motorway operating company that manages and develops urban toll road networks in Australia, North America and Canada. We operate seventeen (17) motorways in Australia and North America which are monitored and managed by fifteen (15) control rooms. In Australia Transurban operates nine (9) road tunnels. As new projects currently under construction reach completion within the next few years, additional control rooms will be commissioned or existing ones upgraded.

Transurban joined the association to expand its knowledge in control room operation and to share with fellow control room operators our experiences. This not only includes the makeup of the physical control room but includes employee management and welfare issues such as rosters, training and work life balance. Although association members come from a wide variety of Australian industries, our challenges and successes in managing control rooms are the same.
