OZCORONET 2016 Conference
Brisbane
The Australian Control Room Network 2016 conference – OZCORONET 2016 – was held at the Brisbane Cricketers Club overlooking the Brisbane Cricket Ground. Approximately 70 people attended.
The theme of the 3-day event was “Without effective controllers and an effective control room, you don’t have a business” and brought together colleagues from the industry presenting a day of speakers, a day of real time facility visits, and a day of built case studies.
OZCORONET 2016 coincided with the American Power Dispatchers Association – APDA – Australian Conference providing a valuable Continuing Education stream in conjunction with the main OZCORONET 2016 agenda.
The conference started a self-organised forum for:
- the exchange of ideas and information,
- the development of fellowship, and
- the promotion of excellence in control room design and operation.
After a very successful three days, the consensus was to formalise the Association and continue to provide a membership networking and resource-sharing forum for control room stakeholders.
