Paul has over 24 years’ experience working in heavy industry within Alcoa, Incitec Pivot and is now at Viva Energy’s Geelong Refinery. His career has spanned all facets of operations, from outside operator, panel operator, shift supervisor and now as Control Room Leader. He was a key decision-maker in the design of, and subsequent transition to, the new Refinery Control Room that was completed in July 2022.
Paul, along with other key stakeholders in Viva’s control room upgrade, have been attending ACRNA conferences since 2017. The site visits and networking opportunities facilitated by ACRNA significantly contributed to the design of our new control room and gave excellent insight into how to execute a live transition from old to new control rooms.
